By means of Directive DPI-001-2026, the Intellectual Property Registry, published in the Official Gazette No. 15 of January 23, 2026, announces the automation of the sending of the edicts of trademark applications for publication in the Official Gazette.
By virtue of this Directive, as of February 2 of the current year, the Registry will send directly all edicts referring to trademark registration applications, as well as edicts of trademark name changes, for their due publication. In this way, users will have to enter directly to the web page of the National Printing Office to pay the edicts without the need to create a publication request and send the edict to the Printing Office.
In close collaboration with the Registry, during the last four months Divimark Abogados collaborated in the pilot plan of this project, providing feedback for its successful development.
